Hooray!
My Game App has been approved by the App Store. I am however adding a few minor changes in pricing and monetization before the App goes live.
This is what I have been waiting for and am glad that finally, all the hard-work has come to fruition.
Almost immediately, comes to mind the next challenge - that of getting enough traction / downloads / user retention / how to distribute etc.
But I have learned through my past work experiences that it is very important to stop at least for a moment and acknowledge the achievement of a major goal. So I tip my metaphoric hat to the passage of this milestone.
Please stay tuned for the final announcement of the launch.
Note: One of the obstacles turned out to be in getting a trademark in my company name. As a company in Canada was using a semi similar name. Instead of wasting time and resources on arguing this case with the USPTO I decided to rebrand my game studio company name. It is now called "Gigi Sehgal" ( My long standing nickname :D )
I have also been meaning to say a note of thanks to the many people who let me bend their ears and take their time to show them my game as it went through various stages. I remember meeting several awesome people ( such as the couple at the local bar, high school students at the local coffee shop , and some of my friends as well ). THANK YOU for taking the time to test and for your sincere feedback ! The lady in the couple at the bar, was especially helpful. She gave me serious feedback in the early UI stages of my game. She was non-technical and was the best person to spot all the things us techies tend to take for granted in an UI 😂😂 ( I hope your email address hasn't changed! I would like to send a note )
Through all the impersonation accounts ( I counted 4 in my nickname / name on Instagram recently , one on X and one on Facebook - that I know of ) and the random vengeful AI bot attacks and plagiarism attacks, copied website domains, etc., somehow, I managed to get to the other side :D
Onwards & Upwards!
